Camerata is a non-auditioned choir open to all students, regardless of experience. Students will be introduced to the skills necessary for choral singing (sight reading, vocal tone quality, pitch and rhythmic accuracy, ensemble balance and blend, diction, musicality), while learning music for and performing at four choir concerts throughout the year.
No experience is necessary. Students are taught everything they need to know to be successful in chorus in this course. This is a great course for theatre students interested in improving their vocal abilities. |

Chamber is an advanced auditioned group. Students should show a firm grasp of the skills necessary for proper choral singing (sight reading, vocal tone quality, pitch and rhythmic accuracy, ensemble balance and blend, diction, musicality). Students in chamber will be expected to perform at the four traditional concerts throughout the year, along with other extra-curricular performances and various sporting, community, and school events.
Students must have choral experience to audition for Chamber. Auditions are held in the spring during class. If you are not currently enrolled in chorus but have prior choral experience, email Mrs. Neal ([email protected]) to set up an audition time in March. |
